Many beaches in American Samoa (including Pago Pago) are home to stunning coral reefs and are great spots for snorkeling and diving. Ofu is another beautiful beach to stop by while in the area. American Samoa's beaches are the perfect place to swim, snorkel, kayak, stand up paddleboard, or simply lounge on the shores.
Beaches aside, another highlight of American Samoa is the many hiking trails that are scattered throughout the region. The lush green National Park of American Samoa, and Mount Alava, a 1600-foot peak that offers challenging hiking trails with sweeping panoramic views.
The months of April through October are considered the best times to visit American Samoa. Temperatures are pleasant during this time and is considered the 'dry season' with minimal rainfall.
