The house is nested in the middle of overgrown pastures and clumps of spruce trees. The view is exceptional: hills all around and the waters of the nearby Northumberland Strait. The Livingstone Cove beach is only a few minutes walk away and there are several other beaches and fishing wharves within a short driving distance. Other points of interest include the Cape George lighthouse, School House, and walking trails, as well as a provincial park and fossils in Arisaig, the rocks of Crystal Cliff, and music festivals in historic churches and artistsâ?? studios. The town of Antigonish is home to St. Francis Xavier University, the Antigonish Peopleâ??s Place Library, the Highland Games in July and the Antigonish Theatre Summer Festival. Antigonish offers various shopping amenities and several restaurants and is only a 20-minute drive away. Cape Breton and Halifax are close enough for day trips.
Homeaway has a HUGE selection of vacation homes from all around the world. Until the rise of Airbnb, they were the biggest. They grew partly by buying up every other vacation home rental site, so even if you don't think you're using Homeaway, you probably are. Go away, with Homeaway.
