1. Park in town

It’s better to park in town and take a ferry to the festival site as there’s not much parking available near to the festival site. There are water shuttles running between Perotti Park and Providence to the festival site at Fort Adams. The water taxi service starts at 8 am.

2. Opening times

Gates open at 10 am on Friday 28 July, Saturday 29 July and Sunday 30 July. Music starts at 11 am and stops at sundown.

3. Lineup schedule

The lineup schedule will be posted just before the event. So check back on the Newport Folk Festival website.

4. Bring a chair

Low-backed chairs (under 30 inches) are allowed — so make the most of it and bring a chair for maximum comfort.

5. Boozy wristbands

If you’re over 21 and like to drink, you’ll need to collect a wristband before entering the wine and beer gardens. Wristbands can be collected at stands located in the festival site.

6. Beer Garden hours

The beer gardens are open from 12 pm – 6:30 pm.
