Newport Folk Festival is back! The festival is known for its amazing music lineup, drawing in huge crowds year on year. Taking to the stage this year are the likes of Fleet Foxes, Regina Spektor and John Prine. With panoramic views of the Newport Harbor in Rhode Island, four music stages and beer gardens you’re bound to have an awesome weekend.

Newport Folk Festival will be held at Fort Adams in Newport, Rhode Island, on July 28-30, 2017.

Friday: Fleet Foxes, The Head and the Heart, Regina Spektor and Hurray for the Riff Raff.

Saturday: Wilco, Jim James, The Avett Brothers and Angel Olsen.

Sunday: John Prine, Speak Out, Dr. Dog, American Acoustic and Sunday Groove.

Getting to and From Newport Folk Festival

Air – The nearest airport is Boston Logan Airport, which is 74 miles from the center of Newport.

Car – Fort Adams is 1.5 hours from Boston, or 3 hours from New York City. There’s limited parking at the festival site and festival-goers are encouraged to park in town and take a ferry to the site.

Ferry – There are water shuttles running from Perotti Park and Providence to the festival site at Fort Adams. It’s a 15-minute trip and you can buy tickets on the day.

Bus – Newport Folk Festival has teamed up with bus service Skedaddle to run routes between NYC and Boston direct to the festival site. Take a look at the Skedaddle bus routes.
