The Space Villa Chelbarina is a newly renovated home is clean, bright, spacious and enjoys a luxurious breeze most of the year. The home is across the road from two of the best beaches on the island and is set back from the road. The villa quite large and perfect for families or small groups looking for some elbow room.
As of February 2017 the house's electricity use is offset using solar energy with a large roof-top array. Your stay's electricity usage will have a minimal carbon effect on the environment. Rest easy!
The villa can be accessed via the front stairway by most or for those that don't do stairs the rear entrance by the patio is an easy option. There is plenty of parking space in front of the house.
The home is surrounded by tropical gardens and has large patios on both sides of the house. The Caribbean-style louvered doors open up to allow bright light and sweet smelling air throughout the house. The furniture is tasteful and new.
This home has wifi, a television with cable TV access, and a telephone. The West facing patio is bordered by asparagus ferns, well appointed with caribbean furnishings and has a BBQ for guests to enjoy. The large East facing patio holds a lounge area for guests to sit and relax.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances and necessary kitchen tools. All equipment and utility costs are included. Maid service is standard twice per week and there are laundry facilities onsite.
The Master bedroom enjoys a King size bed and is air conditioned. There is a large cedar wardrobe space, dresser, ceiling fan and a large ensuite bathroom. Large louvered doors on the Juliet opening face the breeze and can be opened to allow extra light and air into the room.
Bedroom 2 is fully air conditioned with a double bed, side tables, a closet, and a Juliet opening facing the fresh breeze.
Bedroom 3 has two single beds (that can be pushed together), closet and louvered windows for light and air.
Bedroom 4 has just been completed, has a queen bed, AC and a ceiling fan.
The main bathroom has the unique advantage of being split into two rooms. A toilet is in its own room while the large shower stall, main toilet and dressing area is in another room. This allows groups to get ready without stepping on each other and is a godsend for those who “can't wait".
We also have a crib for small children (pack & play).
Depending on the size of your group we will close off unneeded bedrooms to save on cleaning costs but will of course discuss with you before you arrive. Guest Access The house sits on a very large croquet lawn set back from the road for playing about or relaxing. The gardens surrounding the house are lush and perfect for taking a walk to calm the spirit.
The house is accessible to wheelchair users through the rear entrance, there's a smooth concrete pathway from the gate to the front door. The home is on a single level however there are no grab rails or other facilities to accommodate fully.
Smoking is permitted on the West patio and in the gardens. Interaction with Guests Villa Chelbarina has a House Manager (my brother Ryan) who resides nearby and will be available to assist in any aspect of your stay. The Neighborhood Gibbes Beach is a bit of a local secret. One of the most serene and beautiful of the beaches on the island is just across the road. It's the best place to relax, enjoy a swim and bathe in the warm sun. The clear, blue waters will soothe your soul like none other.
If you prefer a little more action, Mullins Beach is a few minutes walk. There is a lively beach bar with great food, live music and of course - a bar! There is a range of services available here from chairs/umbrellas to jet-ski and paddle board rentals.
Villa Chelbarina is located between Holetown and Speightstown. Holetown is an electric and eclectically upscale area of boutiques, bars and restaurants. Speightstown, just North enjoys beautiful colonial architecture and a sleepy fishing village feel. Speightstown is home to a museum, art galleries, restaurants and several small seaside cafes. Getting Around The house is situated on the main road so buses and taxis are available. Information on local car rental companies can be provided if you'd prefer to drive yourself. Other Things to Note Critters are a part of Caribbean living, there is always a possibility you will run into a cockroach, rat, mouse, lizard, centipede or a mango-theiving-monkey. This doesn't indicate the house/restaurant/bar is dirty, the climate is warm and these animals and insects thrive in the entire region. Don't freak out! Have a rum :-)
There are other properties available on the estate so please enquire if you have a large party that needs to be accommodated just ask!
Hot water coming through the taps in Barbados is powered by the sun. This means on rainy days or days when 4 people have hot steamy showers you may be out of luck! This is the case across the Caribbean not just with us. ...
