Head to the museum early in the morning as often people are lined up down the street to get inside.

The Netherlands is quite an environmentally-conscious country and one of the most popular ways to get around Amsterdam and the other major cities is by bicycle. Rent one and cycle through the quaint streets to fit in with the locals.

After touring Amsterdam, venture on to The Hague. Though The Hague has a reputation for being a government and business hub, it is also home to beaches, a picturesque old town and some beautiful architecture. Stroll along the seafront, enjoy a classic stroopwafel, and hit the city's bars with the Dutch locals and expats.
