Our cottage is stocked with books, board games and a speaker system for your iPhone/iPod/Android phone, but NO TV. This is by design. Trust us, you'll thank us for not being able to watch the boob tube during your stay.
We have a front yard which is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails.

Note: the property directly behind and adjacent to our cottage is not ours, but is owned and rented out by a relative. You will occasionally see renters walk down our driveway to get to their unit. If this is a concern, please let us know. The Neighborhood Live Oak is a friendly, walkable neighborhood. We'll share our tips on local restaurants, cafes, and stores, as well as walking tours, hikes, bike routes, and good spots for surfing, wakeboarding, boogie boarding, and bodysurfing. Getting Around AIR: The cottage is just 45 minutes from Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC); 45 minutes from Monterey Regional Airport (MRY); 1 hour 15 minutes from San Francisco International Airport (SFO); 1 hour 15 minutes from Oakland International Airport.
DRIVING: The cottage is just 5 minutes from Highway One, off the Soquel Avenue exit. We have two permitted street parking passes.
BUS: The Amtrak Highway 17 Express Santa Cruz METRO departs hourly from Diridon Caltrain Station in San Jose and arrives in downtown Santa Cruz an hour later. The cottage is a 10-minute cab ride from there. Other Things to Note You're welcome to use our gas grille in the backyard.
