The bedroom is very spatious and with a lot of light during the day, which is nice to sit on the terrace. Equiped with a large bed, cold and hot water, a couch, a desk and a small terrace.
A lot of green plants inside the house. Some say the living room is like being in a rainforest... :-). Two big couches, free wifi, tv, connection for iPad/iPod for radio or other uses.
The bathroom has a shower/bathtub and there is always warm water. There is also a washing machine available.
All equipment is available to cook. Stores to buy fresh food are next door. But I can also advice some nice places for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
Two bikes are available for rent (5€).Guest Access
The apartment is on the first floor.Interaction with Guests
I like to offer you a comfortable and cosy home.
If you want to spent time together, it's possible if my agenda allows it, but all respect to your privacy.
I hope you may spend a memorable time in Antwerp.
Zuid is where Antwerp's cultural hearts beats and the neighborhood has three fabulous museums to underscore this point: MHKA (Museum of Contemporary Art), FoMu (The Museum of Photography) and KMSKA (The Royal Museum of Fine Arts). Along Waalsekaai and Vlaamsekaai, the former South Docks, you will encounter several galleries specializing in contemporary arts as well as exclusive design and interior stores. Volksstraat has more clothes stores and bakeries. In the evenings Zuid has a bustling nightlife scene thanks to the many restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood. it is also the perfect place for a delicious breakfast or an original brunch the morning after.
From my apartment it is very easy to discover The South by foot. If you enjoy walking, it is also possible to sightsee the city center and north of Antwerp by foot from my location (straight line walking south to north is about 40minutes walk).
I provide two bikes, which makes sightseeing; small or big Antwerp, less tedious. It allows you to go anywhere anytime and you have more opportunity to breathe in the atmosphere of the city.Getting Around
From Central station you can take a bus (290, 500 or N29) or tram (24 or 4). From Central station to Brederodestraat, the tram stops at the stop called "Antwerpen bestorming". From there it is half a minute walk to the apartment.
There are many parkingoptions if you arrive by car. The most interesting place is the free parking spot at the Kaai, which is a few minutes walk from the apartment.
It is also possible to park in the street or nearby streets. It is free: the first 10 minutes, before 9 o'clock and after 19 o'clock and on Sundays.
Otherwise you pay 0,70€ the first hour and 1,10€ the consequent hours (for max 10hours).
Other Things to Note
Two bikes are available for rent (5€/bike, unlimited use)
During july/august it is possible to rent the whole apartment on certain dates.
There are two lovely but shy cats; Jazzy and Rozijn.
