The spacious ensuite has a separate shower cubicle as well as a bath. The super king can be made into two singles and we offer reduced rates for single occupancy and longer stays. Another double room can be made available, please enquire for separate prices - best for groups together as you share the bathroom. A relaxed and comfortable country home with your host being on hand as and when you need - your host can book a meal at local pubs, arrange taxis and so on, just ask! Full cooked English breakfast and various other options are all sourced locally, free range and home cooked, served around the large table in the shared kitchen, again with views over the countryside. Well behaved, house trained adult dogs are welcome and there is a friendly dog living there. Spacious gardens surround the house with seating and a paddock housing horses/ponies and there are chickens. The picturesque village green is within walking distance where you will find a great country pub that serves food daily and has a large garden with seating. Your host has lived in the area for some time so is a great source for places to go and things to do, the recommended pubs etc - we can also provide a Tourist Guide should you wish. Hartest is a beautiful village set around a picturesque, traditional village green, complete with pub serving food daily with a large garden to the rear. There is a butcher on the green and a good general store and PO in nearby Glemsford. Plenty of footpaths all around with stunning scenery.
You are a short drive (approx 15 minutes) to the beautiful market town of Bury St Edmunds and also not far from the historical village of Lavenham and Long Melford - all with a great selection of independent shops, galleries, bars and restaurants and historic places to visit. Beautiful walks all around and two large, beautiful and unspoilt parks on the edge of Bury, Ickworth Park and Nowton Park. Should you wish to go further afield, the University City of Cambridge is an approximate 45 minute drive.
