My family and I all love our place in Mazatlan, and we think you will too! We are located right in the popular Golden Zone, near the El Cid resort. Walk into the open air reception area at Islas del Sol (the building's name means "Islands of the Sun"), and you will see the waters of the Pacific Ocean framed by graceful archways. The swimming pool is straight ahead, ringed by palapas (thatched palm umbrellas) and palm trees. A mere 7 steps down from the pool area and you are on the beach!
The condo itself is lovely, with an open layout. Open the beautiful native wood door, step inside and enjoy the view - the blue waters of the Sea of Cortes are straight ahead, framed by Deer and Bird Islands. On this floor is a fully equipped kitchenette, dining area and living room. Proceed downstairs and view the 2 bedrooms, each with a full bath. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the same magnificent view as the living room, while the second bedroom sports a full bed and looks out to the mountains. The unit is also characterized by beautiful Mexican tile and unique wood details.
Whenever you’d like to eat out, there is an enormous range of restaurants that line Camaron Sabalo, the main street in this area. You can choose from traditional Mexican fare to Spanish, Italian, Sushi and of course, fresh delicious seafood. When you want to eat in, take advantage of the well-laid out kitchen to prepare your own meals.
The ocean is Islas del Sol's backyard. You can walk or jog in either direction on the sand, swim in the gorgeous waters of the ocean, relax on the beach, or be even more active and go boogie boarding, parasailing, surfing, sea kayaking or use a jet ski. If you prefer to use the pool, there are small palapas built in on the patio as well as a large palapa for bigger gatherings. Our building is located on the main street, Camaron Sabalo, which changes name but runs the length of almost the entire beachfront in Mazatlan. There are many hotels, clubs, restaurants and stores nearby. There are public buses as well as taxis and pulmonias (golf carts for hire) to take you easily to the Aquarium, Center (market, cathedral, colonial plazas, small museums) and outlying beaches (Playas Brujas and Cerritos). If you are driving, there is secure parking directly across the street.
