As a user of airbnb, and knowing what it's like to be travelling and all you want is a decent bed and a hot shower, well look no further.
The room is lovely and clean with light coming through the large window. The room has a tv, dvd and freeview. Fresh towels and linen will be provided. There is a hairdryer in the room. It also has a wardrobe and chest of drawers for you to unpack while you stay here.
The available room is in a two bedroom flat which is easy accessible by road, rail and public transport. There is a driveway to park your car, however, should you wish to leave the car at home, there are brilliant transport links. Scotstounhill station is 5 walk from my house and Dumbarton Road for buses is also 5 minutes walk away. Both rail and buses will take you into Glasgow and beyond. Late night buses are available. Taxis prices are reasonable from town and the airport, which is about 20 minutes drive away.
My home is also ideal if attending a gig or conference at SECC, Clyde Auditorium and The Hydro. Train station is only three stops away from the SECC train station. Clydebank college and BAS systems are within walking distance of my home.
There is a leisure centre under 10 minutes walk away which has a pool and other leisure facilities. It is also the host stadium for Glasgow Warriers Rugby club. Queen Victoria park is nearby as well.
Breakfast is available (cereal, bread, jam, tea and coffee).
The flat also has free access to the internet and a washing machine/drying area.
I also have had repeat business from people who are working in Glasgow, which I think verifies previous experiences of guests that they wish to stay in my home again. The Neighborhood
I have lived in this neighbourhood since 2000 and would not live anywhere else in Glasgow. Yes, it really is that good a neighbourhood.Getting Around
I find Scotstoun a safe place to walk around, whether that is the 5 minute walk from either the train station or main bus routes. Both options are easy to get into town or further afield.
The area has many local shops including a Tesco Metro, and take-away places, within a 5 minute walking distance, as well as a leisure centre with swimming pool and park which are about 10 minute walk down the road.Other Things to Note
Due to a couple of problems recently with bookings, I will not take a booking if you do not have picture on your profile or you are still being verified by airbnb.
How To Get There
To help you get to mine, if you use (website hidden) this is a very good transport website to give you times of trains/buses to mine. From Queen Street Station (lower level) or Glasgow Central (lower level) and take the train to Scotstounhill station. Get off the train - do not cross the bridge, as this will take you back into town. - Walk out of the train station and take a left and just follow the road round once you get to the end of this road, cross the road an my house is directly in front of you. There is a street sign above my door. Alternatively, when walking out of the trian station you will see a road in front of you (Goldenberry Avenue) walk right along this road, you will then see a main road (Danes Drive), turn left, cross the street and start walking down the hill to the traffic lights. As you near the traffic lights, the last road on your right is Esslemont Avenue. Always remember, when taking the train to Scotstounhill take the YOKER line. If you're going back into town you can take any train which will either arrive at Glasgow Central or Glasgow Queen Street (both are in town).
Taxis number from Glasgow Airport: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) - City Cars. Approximately £15. Call as your flight lands and they will pick you up at the NCP multi storey car park, ground level.
