Our duplex is a smoke free, pet free, 2 bed/2 bath home away from home. We are centrally located so you can get to all the go-to places in Louisville in 3 to 15 minutes (see the Location section for more details).
One bedroom has a queen size bed, the second has two twins and a third one could be added if you don't mind being a little crowded. The couch in the living room also pulls out into a full size bed (in case there are two couples and one of them would rather not split up into twin beds), prior notice is required if the sofa bed will be needed. We also have a Pack-n-Play if you need a crib.
We prefer that groups be a maximum of 4, but we leave 6 as an option in case of children or other special circumstances.
We own the duplex and have to bottom floor rented out to a young couple from the Middle East, they are like family and if we can't meet you when you arrive, they may be the ones checking you in.
Our unit takes up the second and third floors, so if you can't climb stairs this would not be the place for you.
Washer & dryer are available for guests staying longer than a week.
We have a one car garage and there is street parking available. There is a city bus (TARC) stop on the corner.

Nearby attractions: You can get to downtown in 8 minutes -this includes the Convention Center, Actors Theater of Louisville, the Science Center, the YUM Center, the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, Waterfront Park (where Forecastle Festival happens!), Fourth Street Live!, 21C Museum Hotel (with the HUGE replica of Michelangelo's David on the front), the Brown Theater, the Palace Theater, the Louisville Slugger Museum (with the HUGE bat leaning against the building), the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, and much more!
You can get to the Kentucky Derby/Churchill Downs in 8 minutes (4 miles), the airport, the Fairgrounds, the newly renovated Speed Art Museum, and the U of L campus also in 8 minutes, Freedom Hall in 13 minutes, the Highlands in 6 minutes, and Germantown in 3 minutes.

There is a 4% tax added to each rental (not including cleaning fee), Louisville tax for short term rentals is 8.5% so we basically split it with you.
Guests will be expected to sign a rental agreement and abide by the following House Rules:
*Only guests who have passed the approval process can stay in the duplex. Do not add guests without approval, we'll be forced to cancel the booking immediately without a refund.
*Call me first if you want to use the sofa as a bed.
*If I leave the keys for you in a lock box, remove the lock-box as soon as you get the keys and please don't put it back when you check out.
*Pets are not permitted in the duplex.
*We don't allow smoking or illegal drugs in the duplex. We live in this unit part time, and even though our kids will not be staying there at the same time as guests, we want to keep our home as toxin/poison free as possible.
*Firearms, weapons, and explosives are not permitted inside the duplex, yard, or garage.
*Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am, please be mindful of excessive noise during other times as well.
*Please be courteous to the downstairs residents.
*Please keep outside doors locked, and please make sure to close garage door.
*Do not engage in any sort of illegal activity while on our property.
*Please try to leave the duplex in relatively the same condition you found it & please take your trash/recycling out to the dumpster (behind the garage in the alley) when you check out.
