The Pink room is a private den of tranquility within the HQ of a glamorous cabaret dance troupe. While the loft is a wonderland of nick nacks, costumes, and props in the true bohemian tradition, the room is peaceful and windowless. Guests regularly emerge from the room and tell me that they just had the best night's sleep they've had in months.
Guests have access to The Pink Room, bathroom, and main space, which includes the open kitchen and the general sitting, chilling, eating, drinking and video screening areas. Guests also have access to the roof and fire escapes.
Access to the sewing room and costume mezzanine is available only when accompanied by our cost mistress.
On nights when someone is crashing on the sofa, that person has the right to request that use of the main space be limited to necessary usage after midnight.
The open kitchen is well equipped, and includes the following:
Nespresso Espresso/Cappuccino Machine
Keurig Coffee Machine
Cuisinart Food Processor
All-Clad Pots & Pans
Gas Stove & Oven
... and more!
An eccentric native New Yorker and enthusiastic drinker of craft beer, I love to help people have a good time in my home town, and I love to have a good time in other people's home towns.
A performer by trade, I have an insider's knowledge of events that visitors might never find otherwise.
I invite you to experience my New York!
Unless I'm on an out-of-town gig, I'll generally be available for help, advice, and conversation. Also, with a little gentle coaxing, I might be convinced to show you around some of the neighborhood's legendary bars, restaurants, and performance venues.
It's across the street from a supermarket and a drugstore, within 30 seconds walk of two of Brooklyn's most celebrated artisanal ice cream parlors, down the block from Smorgasburg, Brooklyn Flea and East River State Park, and within crawling distance of most of the 'Burgs celebrated bars, restaurants and music venues.
The loft is close to the Bedford Avenue L subway station, which is only one stop away from Manhattan's East Village/Lower East Side neighborhood, and three stops from Union Square, where you can access trains to all parts of the city.
The North Williamsburg ferry landing is a two minute from the loft. The ferry offers breathtaking views and access to other waterfront neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens.
There's a bus stop across the street, and numerous ZipCars, CitiBikes, and Car2Gos in the neighborhood.
While on-street parking can be scarce, there are numerous parking garages nearby, including one in the building next-door.
Other Things to Note
The loft is a working costume shop. Every once in awhile, showgirls will come by to try on sparkly costumes.
