This charming home nestled in beautiful oak forest at the end of a residential street in Durham, NC near the Eno River, and approximately 10 minutes from Duke University, has all the comforts of home. View the forest through the large skylights in the high ceiling above the open living/dining area. Enjoy forest views through every window in the home and from the two private decks. Hike nature trails beginning within 150 ft of the home and extending to and through the Eno River State Park. Snuggle up in the evenings as you watch a free movie from Amazon Prime on the new 32" LED smart TV. Be near, but feel far, from everything except nature!
The master bedroom has a Queen-size Sleep Number bed, blackout curtains and a private, enclosed deck off the back of the house. The second bedroom has a full-size bed with a sateen comforter set, blackout curtains and two windows into the forest. The 400 square foot loft has a large forest-view skylight and is outfitted with two desks and reading chairs, as well as a futon sofa/bed. The loft provides an additional semi-private sleeping space (there is a door). Linens are provided for the full-size loft futon bed and a twin air mattress upon request. We welcome families with small children (we have two of our own!). There is a play area in the side yard, which we put together for our daughter on her second birthday--it includes a small slide, a children's picnic table and a sand box. A gate for the bottom of the stairs, a twin air mattress, pack-n-play, high chair, and children's toys and books are also available upon request.
