The Space Come into the estate through two large gates, and there is a tennis court. perfect for tables and chairs, dancing, meetings, or whatever else you can think of! to the right, there is an enormous lawn, with a unique log swing set at the end. behind that, there are large tree's, and an old chicken coop...complete with chickens! (we can put them away if you don't want them to be part of your event!) to the left of the swing set, there is a fire pit, and an extra long picnic table. from the fire pit and picnic table, and gradens, you can choose to wonder off to the patio, furnished with beautiful vintage furniture, a view of the Puget Sound, and lights in the trees, or you can walk up the steps to a very large deck, complete with tables and chairs and a seating area. from the seating area, you have a view of the pond, and tennis court. When you step inside to the charming house, there is a small seating area, dining room, and kitchen.
This property accommodates large groups of people for events, but does not accommodate overnight stays. Guest Access Guests will have access to all the outside property, and potentially part of the house depending on the type of event. Guests will need to provide restroom services as the estate is old and isn't equipped for public use. Guests will also have limited kitchen use. We completely understand that there has to be some behind the scenes prep and a place to store some food and drinks, but our kitchen isn't big enough for you to come and cook for your event. You might want to consider a catering company instead. There are plenty of local caterers in Edmonds. We can help you with ideas! Interaction with Guests We will be there for your event to help you host it. You can provide the food and decorations, and we will help you with set up and help keep the food and drinks going. we want you to be able to participate in your event and not be working behind the scenes! we are very easy going, so if there is anything we can do to help, we will! The Neighborhood Quiet residential neighborhood with lots of parking. easy to find, and close to grocery stores, Puget sound, downtown Edmonds, and other places. Getting Around There is a bus stop one block from the estate, as well as an elementary school a short distance for extra parking. Estate is also about 10 minutes from the Edmonds train station and Edmonds-Kingston ferry. Other Things to Note This venue isn't intended for overnight stays, it is intended for weddings, parties, and meetings. The house was built in 1946 by my grandparents. It has unique charm and was even featured in the Edmonds Garden Tour summer 2017! We feel so blessed to be able to call Bidarka Estates home, and it is our calling to share our residence with crowds that will appreciate and enjoy the history and natural beauty of the property.
If you would like more information, please email me and we can set a time for you to tour the residence. Then, if you do decide to hold your event at Bidarka Estates, we will make a contract outside of Airbnb. The reason for this is because every event is different and will have a different price tag. We are not out to make a large profit. We would like to be fair with you and charge according to what your needs are. We have posted $1200, but depending on the type and length of event, the rate be more or less.
As you can probably tell, there are no reviews on this page. The reason is because we don't take reservations through the Airbnb website. Guests have to book through the site in order to publish a review. Hopefully the pictures will act in the way of a review because they show a number of events this residence has hosted. ...
