So much more than a hotel - this is a local home with close connections to the community. If you're interested in 'real' travelling experiences, living among Ethiopian people, then this flat is ideal. It is clean, basic and equipped to a Western standard with running water, equipped kitchen and comfortable bedding. But it is also one house among Ethiopian houses where you can live in comfort, independent from the tourist hotels but a convenient 10 minute walk away from the main high street. The apartment also boasts a beautiful view from the rear balcony which is accessible from either double bedroom. The apartment is owned by local children's charity The Kindu Trust ((URL HIDDEN) and all rent goes towards their projects with local disadvantaged children. You are welcome to rent the whole flat for £10 a night or one of the double rooms for £5. We will consider lower rates for people on longer stays.Guest Access
Guests will have access to the lounge, bathroom, balcony and kitchen. This can easily be a shared apartment for 4 people of for 2 people or couples living separately in each room as both rooms are lockable and separate from the rest of the flat.Interaction with Guests
We will meet you in Gondar centre (piazza) when you arrive and show you to the accommodation. You are also very welcome to visit The Kindu Trust compound to see our work with children and even partake in the traditional meals we frequently cook up for visiting tourists!
