The Space The unit is private, quiet, and away from the main house. There is guest parking in the barn garage beneath the guest unit. The guest unit is about 630 square feet with a large living room with sofa, coffee table, desk, dining or game table, a flat screen TV monitor, and a recliner. The bedroom is large and partly open to the living room. It has a queen size bed (medium firm), closet, dresser and night stands with lamps for reading. There is a small kitchenette (microwave, toaster oven, two burner induction cook top, three kinds of coffee makers, bar sink, dishes, and basic utensils, table & 2 chairs). The bathroom has an approximately 29" x 29" standard fiberglass shower, sink, toilet and storage shelves. The unit has electric heating and AC, as well as 2 fans, large windows for lots of light and views of the vines and oaks. It was originally the hay loft for our horses, sheep and llamas, then for 20 years the office for my consulting business. In 2015 we had it remodeled to serve as a guest unit. You may hear the horses down stairs on occasion or the chickens (but no roster). Guest Access You will need to be able to climb a flight of stairs.

We want to assist you but not interfere with you. The Neighborhood Our property is about 3.5 acres, located in a rural mixed agricultural setting with many vineyards, wineries, and a few equestrian centers. We are on a quiet private lane with scattered homes, but it is just a short 10 minute drive to Highways 12 and 101. Getting Around Parking is in the garage below the unit. Sonoma county is not noted for its public transit but it does exist. The nearest bus stop is at the corner of Guerneville Rd and Willowside Rd across the street from Hansel's Wine and Bistro. Soon we will have the SMART train that you can take as far south as San Rafael. There are a number of local cab companies. UBER is operating in Santa Rosa based on my last web search. We are about 10 minutes south of the Sonoma County Airport. Other Things to Note We are in the Russian River wine region, close to numerous vineyards and wineries, and micro brewies, yet only about 5 minute drive to shopping, banks, gas stations, laundromat, and other services.
A 10 minute walk to Hansel's Bistro & Wine, a highly acclaimed local restaurant. We are about a 60 mile drive to San Francisco, and about a 40 minute drive to the coast and local beaches. About a 15 minute drive to downton Santa Rosa, and a 5 to 15 minute drive to numerous wineries. ...
