The Space Tjørnuvík is a romantic small village, especially with it´s 17 small streams running down the hill side, just in to the roaring Atlantic Ocean makes both a wild and romantic scenery, depending the season. Population is about 70.
There is a sandy beach and there are hiking trails to Saksun. Wonderful mountains for for a fresh walk.
Tjørnuvík is known for it's famous Kingochoir, who for several generations has preserved the ancient Faroese tradition of singing Thomas Kingo's hymn at home...
