A fully equipped 25m2 ground floor studio on residential street, just one block from the heart of Toulouse (Place du Capitole), for friends, tourists, vegetarians, business people... who appreciate environmentaly friendly accomodation when visiting the city, or as a short term base in southwest France.
The room is maintained as new, having been recently renovated with ecologically sound materials. The style reflects the atmosphere of southern France and the centre of Toulouse (la ville rose), a city built at the height of the 16th century renaissance economy from the proceeds of its trade in the blue textile dye (woad). In fact the studio is just a few meters from the main tourist street!
There is internet (wifi), digital TV, a doorphone; a double bed 140cms, (plus extra folding bed available if required), radiator, ample shower and storage space; cupboard, table + 4 chairs, 2 arm chairs, desk; the kitchenette has induction cooking hobs, microwave/convection oven plus grill, fridge (NB While waiting for delivery of a new fridge, there is a temporary fridge with no functioning freezer compartment), kettle, mixer; saucepans, frying pan; casseroles, cooking utensils, and plates, cups, glasses, cutlery for six... Use of iron, linen and cleaning materials (ecolo) are included.
For entertainment: music, opera, cinema, cafés and street life, are all a short walk away!
The metro stations of Capitole and Jean Jaures connect with the public transport system, and Vélô-Toulouse bikes are available in neighbouring streets. Parking is normally available, for cars under the Place du Capitole (covered, space for 900 cars), or for larger vehicles at Place St Sernin etc. ('marie de Toulouse/parkings'). The Tourist Office is just next to the metro 'Capitole'.
For food: besides a large variety of French and international cuisine at restaurants and supermarkets, there are also five (morning) markets, plus organic ('bio') shops, all within a 15 minute walk. The closest is the covered market at Place Victor Hugo, for fish, meats, vegetables and prepared dishes, and also famed for the area's delicious cheeses, besides the duck 'foie gras' and 'maigret'
Laundry: handwashing facilities or there is an excellent neighbourhood launderette in the next street at a 10% discount. There is also a laundry service available nearby...
I live next door, so can also offer assistance and local knowledge!Guest Access
