Host will greet you upon arrival, give you a brief orientation of the cottage and ranch and will come say dagote on departure day. The rest of the time you will have to yourself unless you schedule a tour. The Neighborhood
We live five minutes south of the historic town of Las Vegas. Here you will find the Castanada Hotel - of Harvey Girl fame; Plaza Hotel - where Billy the Kid played cards; and One World College - formerly the Armand Hammer santorium for tb. Hotsprings line the walk along the road that passes the College, which now serves as an international boarding school. We're about a half hour from Ft. Union, which is north, and to the east about the same time is the Pecos Ruins. Toas during good weather takes about 90 minutes - in the winter you have to go around through Santa Fe, which makes it about 2 hours. Ski resorts are 90 minutes- 2 hours away.Getting Around
You will definitely need a car. You won't need a four-wheel drive though. The roads are fine.
