The Space

This space is a gem in Salzburg (our friends tell us all the time, and we know how incredibly lucky we are to live here). The historic building was recently gut-renovated, so you'll be able to bring your suitcases up to the 3rd floor easily with the brand new elevator. Our place has everything you could want during your stay in Salzburg - 2 WCs, 2 showers, a fully appointed kitchen, 3 comfortable beds + a convertible couch, another cozy lounge couch, huge TV with Netflix, Spotify, Amazon Prime, etc., heated floors for the winter & AC for the summer, and unbeatable views. You can feel the history of the in the large wooden timbers that run the length of the upstairs gallery. You can easily pop home during your day of sightseeing, as our place is right in the heart of the city. Close enough to walk to everything Salzburg has to offer, but a top-floor oasis when you need it. Cozy, chic, bright, airy, modern home in a beautiful, traditional building. What more could you ask for?!

The Neighborhood

The joke 'If it's baroque, don't fix it' is a perfect maxim for Salzburg: the storybook Old Town burrowed below steep hills looks much as it did when Mozart lived here 250 years ago. Standing beside the fast-flowing Salzach River, your gaze is raised inch by inch to graceful domes and spires, the formidable clifftop fortress and the mountains beyond. It's a backdrop that did the lordly prince-archbishops and Maria proud. Beyond Salzburg’s two biggest money-spinners – Mozart and The Sound of Music – hides a city with a burgeoning arts scene, wonderful food, manicured parks, quiet side streets where classical music wafts from open windows, and concert halls that uphold musical tradition 365 days a year. Everywhere you go, the scenery, the skyline, the music and the history fill you with wonder and leave you wanting more.

Getting Around

The Salzburg Ferdinand-Hanusch-Platz bus stop is just 2mins away and is the central hub for busses around the city and to the mountains. It also takes you to Hauptbahnhof Central train station which is only 10mins away and is your access point to the rest of Europe. There is a taxi rank right out the front of the apartment, and there are plenty of city parking garages in the immediate radius of the apartment to choose from.

Millions of people are using Airbnb to sleep in strangers' homes, beds, and even couches. They have an amazing selection and you can't find their stuff anywhere else. There is a catch: you often need to contact several hosts to actually get a place to stay, so make sure you give yourself some lead time.
