    The Space

    There is NO LIFT or fire escape, like the vast majority of old buildings in the city. Although the flat is fully refurbished the building is awaiting refurbishment.

    Guest Access

    The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, iron, hairdryer. With mezzanine bedrooms upstairs (open plan, not private) and bathroom, you have ample room for everyone. All linen is provided. All utilities and wifi are included.

    Interaction with Guests

    If I am not there to meet you I will make sure you have full details for flexible check in and out, as well as maps, photos and guides to the area. I also send a brochure with visitor's advice for transport and sightseeing. There are guide books in the flat also.

    The Neighborhood

    This is a working class, multi cultural neighbourhood. The area is in full renaissance with cooperative supermarkets, recycling emporiums and cuisine from Georgia, Senegal and Serbia nestling amongst the more traditional Asian and French brasseries.

    Getting Around

    2 metro stations are close by, as well as Velib city bike spaces. Gare du Nord for Eurostar and RER express metro is 10 minutes away by metro.

    Other Things to Note

    You are on the fringe of Montmartre, the vast Clignancourt antique market and Little Africa with its batique 'wax' fashions.

    Millions of people are using Airbnb to sleep in strangers' homes, beds, and even couches. They have an amazing selection and you can't find their stuff anywhere else. There is a catch: you often need to contact several hosts to actually get a place to stay, so make sure you give yourself some lead time.

    Place's rules

    Check in from 3pm, check out by 11am unless by prior arrangement. Only guests booked in have use of the flat. This is a comfortable refurbished flat, in a building dating back over 100 years. The council is renovating our area and the exterior of our building is awaiting permissions for renovating work, so not yet at its best! Thanks for your understanding. Please use my home as you would your own, but note: All breakages and damage must be paid for. Please notify me immediately so replacements can be found. Strictly no pets and no smoking. The flat is not childproofed so please supervise children at all times. The owner is not responsible for any injuries or damage caused by lack of care or attention. Please remove outdoor shoes in the flat. Take special care and mind your head on the staircase. Please respect my neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum in communal areas, and also after 11pm in the flat. Strictly no parties. On arrival you may find laundry hung up to dry from the previous stay. This is because turnaround has been too short for drying time. Please would you be so kind as to fold it and place it with the other linen? Many thanks. Shower: Turn the hot water tap to full, then adjust temperature by adding cold. Without sufficient water pressure, the boiler won’t heat. Maps and guides are there for your use. Please replace them for future guests. If you come by car (not recommended as public transport is cheap and more convenient) you will need to buy a parking card from a 'tabac' for use in the parking meters. In Summer it's a good idea to close the shutters and windows when you go out, as the flat is South-facing and can get very warm. Please remember to take out your bins when you leave. - Please respect my neighbours by keeping noise down after 11pm. - The flat has an internal unguarded staircase which may not be suitable for unattended toddlers.
