Marlborough is Sunshine Capital of New Zealand consistently getting the most sunshine hours in the country. We have 43 wineries that you can visit, 12 that are in walking distance of my home, and even more by bike!
Consider staying a bit longer as I'm 25 minutes from Picton where you can access the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, one hour from Nelson for a day trip around the art and craft areas and the Nelson Vineyards, an easy 1.5 hours to Kaikoura and the Whale Watch, and one hour from Lake Rotoiti where you can walk and listen to the wonderful native bird life or just take a picnic at the lakeside. Plus give yourself time to visit the vineyards, as every one offers something a little different.
Use my place as a hub to explore all these different areas without having to pack every few days!
There's lots to do and see here. The Omaka Aviation Museum which houses Peter Jacksons War Planes which have been set up by the Weta Workshop. The Classic Car Museum, Wine Museum, Art Galleries, fabulous vineyard restaurants... Allan Scott, Wairau River, Geisen, St Clair, Wither Hills, or partake in a cheeseboard at Cloudy Bay. And right on my doorstep is the Cork n Keg, an olde English Pub that has wonderful food if you're looking for dinner.
Four minutes drive from Blenheim airport. 10 minutes drive to Blenheim township.
Bike hire is available from Renwick Bike hire at $28 per bike per day (9am - 5pm) which is a short walk away. Or I have two bikes available for $20 each a day.
I look forward to meeting you. Guest Access Feel free to use the any of the two lounges, both with views over the vineyard. A large bathroom is opposite your bedroom.
