Outside you will enjoy a lovely and private backyard with a hot tub, a gas grill, and an umbrella shaded patio table and chairs. The recreation room has a ping pong table for your competitive enjoyment. And just beyond the hedge is our farm - yes, a real working farm where we raise endangered farm breeds. Pigs, ducks, goats, sheep and chickens will greet you should you wander over to the gate. Tours are available upon request. Check the fridge for a complimentary half dozen farm fresh eggs!
For your convenience and pleasure, we provide a well-stocked picnic basket for your use. All you need to provide is the yummy picnic fair. Guest Access This is a stand alone cottage, so you will have all the privacy you need. The entrance to the cottage is through the back door. The key to the cottage also gives you access to the garage which has been converted to a space to play ping pong. The Neighborhood Just a mile down the road quaint downtown Sebastopol boasts unique shops, restaurants serving delicious, locally sourced cuisine, day spas, and a few fun, local wine bars and tap rooms - all casual and welcoming. The Barlow offers trendy shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, breweries, an all organic grocery store (Community Market) with the best butcher shop in town featuring locally sourced, humanely raised meats.
Nearby towns such as Graton, Forrestville, Freestone (home of the famous Wild Flour Bread Bakery and Osmosis Spa) and Occidental offer countless small town experiences. Bodega Bay and the Pacific Ocean are just a short 30 minute drive. From wine tasting in the lush Russian River Valley to whale watching at Bodega Head to oyster shucking in Tamales Bay, there is so much to do in Sonoma County, you may need to extend your stay! Other Things to Note It has been noted by guests that the road noise can be a bit of a nuisance. There is a white noise machine in the bedroom to help mask the road noise. Also, there isn't as much traffic at night.
