Serendipity - Outdoor Areas
Front gardens and swimming pool
All outside areas are ‘common’; however, we do our utmost to ensure your privacy. The swimming pool is cleaned daily. Access is required along the pathway outside your front door. If you are staying for a few days or more, there may be occasions that the lawns require mowing and the gardens tended. Before we commence cleaning the pool, mowing or gardening, we will notify you, ensuring that you are comfortable with our access.
We use the driveway for our vehicle to enter and exit the property. The access may also be used for friends and family, who may visit to enter our floor via the rear stairs. Guests’ vehicles are parked on the nature strip in front of the premises.
Back gardens and under croft
This area is frequented by us for using the clothesline, the table setting and gardening. You are more than welcome to come and have a chat or to use the area without our presence. Naturally, your privacy is the first consideration at all times.
Out the back
Fortunately, there is a large area outside our property that we mow for protection against bushfires and snakes. Our grandchildren use this area to ride bikes, play footy or chasing games – you and your children are more than welcome to use this area too. This is private property; however, residents along its boundary tend to the area. We simply request that you respect our neighbours and limit your noise.
Kangaroos use our property to access the bushlands behind our home. They will either use the driveway and under croft, or hop along the side of the house near your bedrooms, so if you hear crunching noises on the gravel pathway, it will be the Kangaroos.
Remember that the Kangaroos are wild animals, and while they enjoy a piece of bread now and again, we suggest you keep a respectful distance especially from the males. However, they possess personalities and will often be as interested in you as you are in them. Guest Access With a private entrance the apartment features two bedrooms (one bedroom with queen bed, the other bedroom with two king singles), bathroom with shower and washing machine, family and lounge room, kitchen facilities, BBQ and swimming pool. We have a separate lounge area with sofa and sofa bed for sleeping 2 extra adults at $20 per adult per night.
All outside areas are shared. Interaction with Guests We offer watercraft (dinghy, kayak and surf ski) for guests use. Complimentary tea, coffee and sugar. Small milk in refrigerator on arrival to start you off. The Neighborhood We are a quiet village on the banks of Pumicestone Passage which is a protected marine habitat and Dugong reserve. Our area is listed internationally as an important bird area. We share our daily life with grey Kangaroos that roam our streets. Getting Around Toorbul's Esplanade is the perfect setting for a quiet walk, a run if you wish to be more active, or simply an area where you can sit and relax.
