The Space The first thing visitors say when they enter the Shack is its much bigger than it appears in the photos. The Shack is self contained, has many sustainable features, sleeps up to 5, is private, comfortable and spacious and surrounded by green from local forest and landscaped gardens.
The Shack has two private bedrooms - upstairs a generous light-filled private loft with queen bed and single bed, hanging space, lounge, plantation shutters, pedestal fan and desk and plenty of room for a portable cot if needed.
Downstairs another private bedroom with a very comfortable double bed. Quality linen is provided throughout.
The downstairs living area is very roomy with lots of industrial features including stone flooring, corrugated walls, louvre windows and an eclectic collection of second hand furniture, hand made lights and reused materials. An efficient Nectre wood stove provides a cosy ambience for those seeking a gorgeous winter getaway.
There's a well equipped kitchen (no oven), bathroom with eco waterless toilet. A retro bluetooth radio allows you to connect to your favourite music during your stay.
The roomy interior is extended with a very large and private undercover deck. There’s a large fold-out dining table, Weber BBQ and beautiful vintage daybed with quality upholstery and cotton fly net. Guest Access The Shack is a standalone building about 80m from the main homestead, separated by it's own private garden.
Parking is right out front only metres from the front door with easy access into the building.
You are welcome to wander throughout the property, use the pool, borrow a surfboard or two, try yoga on the deck or pick fruit from our orchard when in season. A herb garden directly outside the kitchen offers a mix of fresh herbs for your use. Interaction with Guests We like to greet our guests on arrival then leave you alone to get on with your holiday. We're more than happy to assist if needed and always available should you need help with directions or local knowledge. Living in the beautiful Australian subtropics we do get bugs and other insects seasonally but offer natural insect repellents, sprays and citronella candles for your comfort.
To get you started we like to supply you with a few basics such as teas, plunger coffee, milk and other goods seasonally.
This is a family property and we live onsite and would like notice if you plan on bringing other people to the property. All additional stays must be pre-arranged and paid for.
We have another 5 bed cottage on the property so if you're planning on a multi family holiday please get in touch. ...
