The house is a traditional New England Cape built in 1832 on the Blue Hill Peninsula on the Coast of Maine, a 45 minute drive from Acadia National Park with fabulous viewings of the Acadia Mountains from just around the corner. Walk to Morgan Bay and conservation areas with nature walks, sweet forest meditation center across the road, walk or drive to the little town beach overlooking the mountains, and then over to the Lobster Shack with your almost private on deck dining room. Drive down the Blue Hill Peninsula for wonderful opportunities of Art Galleries, dining informal or formal, local farmer markets, crafts, ferry to the islands, kayak, hike, and of course, the sunrises and sunsets.

The Neighborhood This close-knit neighborhood of many artists, musicians, meditation students is close to the bay, A concert is often offered on Sunday afternoons in an old barn across the road, The Surry Arts at the Barn. A sweet forest meditation center built of local materials is just up the road. Getting Around Many walks are available by the bay or in the woods or just along this rural road. Bike to the beach. Rent a kayak for the bay. Go for a sail with our local sailor. Blue Hill is close by for lovely restaurants. The Lobster Shack is 10 minutes away. You table is outside on a pier. Small. Fun. You can bike ride there. I have bikes for your use. Highly recommend our Lobster Shake where you can eat on the pier-small and a 10 minute drive with views of the Acadia Mountains.
