The Space

Enjoy a typical Malaysian farm life with lots of activities to do; help our caretaker doing his daily tasks, go fishing, pick some fruits, feed the animals or just relax and enjoy the environment. We are on 15 acres of private land, with 3 lakes. Fishing lake, fish farm lake, and water lily lake. Our farm includes cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits and our lake have the red tilapia, baung fish, and patin fish. We have our local caretaker who runs our farm doing daily chores and working out the place. He is very friendly, please do offer him some help feeding the animals in the evening :)

Guest Access

Go fishing in our lake or help our caretaker with his daily tasks. We do also provide fresh food caught from our farm including local fishes. Please let us know what you need and we'll accommodate to your taste cooked from local restaurants. Or you can even cook your own barbecue. Try out or local juicy fruits mangoes, rambutans, durians, mangosteens, jackfruits. (depending on season)

The Neighborhood

Mempaga Segar: At Lanchang town 5km away from the property there is nearest groceries shop which provides fresh fish, fruits, vegetables and meat. Nara Seafood: A thai restaurant located on the main road 2km away from the property. Mak Teh Nor Food Stall: Provides local breakfast and lunch which is 2km away from the property. Krau Wildlife Reserve: A morning’s walk through the forest will almost certainly bring sightings of Banded and Dusky Leaf-monkeys, and of the ubiquitous Long-tailed Macaque. About 190 species of birds have been recorded so far. Important ones include the Giant Pitta, Malaysian Peacock Pheasant and White-belllied Woodpecker. Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary: Kuala Gandah Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary, Pahang is a rare and fantastic opportunity to get up close to endemic Malaysian elephants. This truly unique Elephant Orphanage of Kuala Gandah in Pahang will give you a very rare opportunity to learn about these displaced gentle giants. Get the chance to ride them through the jungle, with the help of an elephant guide, or mahout. For the brave and adventurous, there are opportunities to take the elephants down to the river and help give them a bath! There really is no better opportunity than this to get in touch with these grey giants. Deerland Park: In the serene and untouched natural environment, you get a chance to interact with the smart yet humble deer. Apart from learning more about them, you also get a chance to feed and stroke the deer. Apart from that, there's also ostrich, sun bear, snake and much more to keep you amused. Other attractions include a dedicated area to cultivate herbs and spices. There are over 40 species of herbs including the ever famous Tongkat Ali which is believed to have medicinal properties. There is also knotted rope used to swing across the river by the adventurous heart. If not, enjoy the wooden walkway leading up to an observation tower at Bukit Rengit

Getting Around

There is bus stand which is available on the main road at the junction of Kg Bongsu. You can get bus and travel to the near by town of Mentakab or Lanchang or get try getting cab there which pass every 30mins earliest.

Other Things to Note

The caretaker name Rosli will be present if there are any need of assistance during your stay at the farm. The night spotlight can be switched manually from the switch box. Please make sure to secure the animal fences upon exiting or entering the area. Kitchen are fully equipped with utensils. Bath towels provided.

Place's rules

Kampung Bongsu Farm Stay House Rules Check-in & Check-out Check-in is at 2pm, and checkout is by 12pm. Arriving slightly earlier, or want that extra hour to sleep? Should be fine, but please check with us first. Extra Guests We understand that for a whole verity of reasons, you may want additional guests to stay in the place. In the event that you want additional guests to stay, please contact us to let us know, as there may be a chargeable fee. We’re reasonable folk and will accommodate wherever possible. Eating Areas We would be most appreciative if you could do all your eating in our kitchen, dining area or patio. This is to ensure that the home remains clean for all our guests. Home Appliances & Equipment All appliances in our home are for your convenient usage. Do handle them with care and ask us if you are unsure how to operate any equipment. Barbeque Who doesn’t enjoy a cookout in nature? Do let us know in advance if you wish to have a barbeque and we will make the necessary arrangements. Please note that there will be a chargeable fee for this. Cleaning procedures Whilst we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that prior to leaving, you clean and put away any dishes or kitchenware used, put all rubbish in the trash can and put any dirty towels in the hamper. Also, to ensure we keep the floors squeaky clean for our guests’ enjoyment, we have a no shoes policy inside our home. Smoking Being a family home, we also have a no smoking policy (although you are welcome to smoke either out front or back). Carpark Kindly park all vehicles at the store area (next to the fish tank). For unloading purposes, only one car is allowed to go up to the house porch area at a time. Electricity To keep our costs down (and pass those savings on to our guests) we kindly ask that you switch off lights and the A/C or water heating when it’s not in use or leaving the house. Mother nature thanks you too! Gatherings or Parties We believe the more the merrier. However, whilst our land is fairly spacious, our home is really cosy. Just give us a heads up if you intend to throw a party or gathering so we will be able to make the necessary arrangements. Also do keep noise to a minimum after 10pm so as to not disturb our fellow neighbours. Farm Animals We love all our animals and do our best to ensure a healthy and happy environment for them. Therefore do inform our farm caretaker if you wish to feed our animal friends! Pets/Animals Do let us know in advance if you intend to bring your pets! Whilst our furry friends are more than welcome to visit our farm, for the comfort and peace of mind of our other guests, we are unable to allow pets inside of our house. Security and Safety As a safety precaution, please be aware there is electrical fence set up to keep the cows at bay. DO NOT TOUCH THE FENCE as it is constantly switched on. Also, please note that we are not responsible for any lost of your belongings. Whilst being one of the safest areas of town, we do advise you not to bring overly valuable items as a precaution. Damage We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible which also means better chances of having your full security deposit returned too. Insects, Mosquitoes and Bugs As the farmhouse is situated in the middle of the jungle, it naturally attract insects, mosquitoes and bugs. Please be aware that there will be ants crawling, mosquitoes buzzing and certain bugs lurking around and in the house. To minimize prevention, always have an insect/mosquitoes repellent on hand. Throw your rubbish immediately in the bin and do not leave any litter on the kitchen bench, as this will also attract the ants.
