The Space Situated just one stop from Manhattan in Dutch Kills, Long Island City, sits a lovely little house that we call The Cottage.
Built in the early 20th Century, this frame house would be like an old story book cottage if it weren't so close to the city. There are 4 bedrooms to accommodate a large group. There are accommodations for infants also, so just let us know. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor with a full bathroom to use.
The main floor has a full kitchen with a family size refrigerator. So if you plan on staying for a while, fill up the fridge. There is a dining table that can easily accommodate a large group (six chairs, but can be extended to hold 10). The living room is comfy and cozy and you will always have lots of natural light coming thru the windows. On the main floor there is another bathroom with a standing shower so there is no waiting in line. The main floor has a small bedroom that sleeps one guest. So if you have someone that cannot go up the stairs easily, this room should be helpful.
There is a garden in the front where you can sit to relax after a long day of sight seeing. Right in front of our gate is the bike path to cross over into Manhattan so if you like to ride bikes, we can help get them for you, just let us know how many (there is a charge for this from the local bike shop). Our block is quiet and you will never be bothered by traffic going by.
Our Cottage is set back 75 feet from the curb and feels so secluded. If you like to entertain you will have no problem doing it at The Cottage or in the Garden. You can BBQ or relax next to the chiminea.
We look forward to meeting you,
Richard Interaction with Guests I am just a phone call away, but I believe in giving you all the privacy you need to enjoy the cottage as if it were your own home. We leave it up to you. The Neighborhood The Neighborhood is called Dutch Kills, Long Island City. We are just one train stop from Manhattan. Minutes to the city from the front door of the Cottage. There are some local attractions that are in walking distance and we have a convenient restaurant just two blocks from us that can host your party or just fill the belly with some good 'ol burger food. Getting your essentials like milk, bread, eggs, or just about anything is only a two block walk from the Cottage. One place is open 24 hours and the other is open during the early morning and closes around 9pm. Getting Around The N, Q and 7 train is just two blocks from the house. The E, F and G are also just 2 and half blocks from the Cottage. Very very easy to get into the city from here. ...
