Things to Do in Boulder City

First thing on every traveler's list should be the Hoover Dam and its museum -- a chance to marvel at the incredible work that went into building the hydro structure as well as learn from the interactive exhibits showing the history of the town. The best view of Hoover Dam can be seen from above on the Memorial Bridge.

Nature lovers will adore the Lake Mead Recreation area and the peaceful waters of Lake Mohave and its shoreline Willow Beach. Here, you can rent kayaks, canoes, and powerboats to really explore on the water. Kayaking can also be done on the Colorado River, where tours are available to take you to the stunning crystal clear waters of Emerald Cave.

For land-based activities, check out the Historic Railroad Trail where hikers can wander through five old railroad tunnels that were once part of the Hoover Dam railroad. This spot is an awesome place to see wildlife like bighorn sheep.

Prefer something more adrenaline-pumping? Get a different perspective and join a zip-line ride down the Red Mountains and over the Mojave desert for breathtaking views of the yellow and red rugged terrain.
