Bridgman is located along the shores of Lake Michigan and its Weko Beach has been popular as a resort since the 1920s. With Warren Dunes State Park in walking distance and many outdoor activities available such as water sports, Bridgman attracts many tourists to its shores.
Warren Dunes State Park is a huge, sandy area of beach and parkland with dunes for climbing and nearly three miles of shoreline to walk and explore. You can access the park easily from Weko Beach. You can rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards and surf boards or choose to have a lesson with various guides in the area. It's great to explore the waters of the lake this way or just swim and hang out on the beach. You'll find some boutique, local microbreweries in town, which are fun places to drop by for a relaxing hand-made brews and food.
Visiting in summer will ensure you have the most fun at the beach and in the water, but off season can be beautiful for less crowds and long walks.
