Cable is a great place to go on holiday. Cable is located in Northwest Wisconsin and is south of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest/Porcupine Lake Wilderness. It is an excellent vacation spot for family fun, a couples’ getaway, or even a long weekend away with friends. Cable, Wisconsin is mainly known for being a small Wisconsin town near some amazing nature.
Anyone visiting Cable will have a vacation that primarily centers around the outdoors. Nature lovers will never run out of things to do as there are endless places to go boating, fishing, and hiking through the forested Wisconsin wilderness. Depending on the season, people can also go hunting in these areas. Directly outside of town are Cable Lake, Perry Lake, and Price Lake, which are all great places to begin an outdoor adventure. In the winter, although less visited, does not rid the town of activites. Many people love coming to Cable in the winter to rent snowmobiles or to go snowshoeing.
Cable is tiny. Less than 1,000 people live here, so we don't have any specific neighborhood recommendations. But what will say is do your best to find a cool cabin in the woods that is close to one of the many lakes in the area.
The best time of year to visit Cable totally depends on the activities you want to do. Summer and spring are best for getting outside and exploring, but those who are eager to go snowmobiling should come in the winter.
