Castro Valley is located in California, just south of Oakland. It is an ideal spot for family fun, a couples' getaway or even a long weekend with friends. One of the things you are going to really want to check out is Anthony Chabot Regional Park, where you can go hiking on one of its many trails or relax in woodland. Another great place to explore is the Hayward Japanese Gardens, which is home to native and rare plants. For something just as serene, you could go boating and fishing on Lake Chabot.

Head to the nearby Don Castro regional area, which has swimming lagoons where the whole family can spend the day picnicking and hanging out in the water.
