Surfers have a great place to ride the waves in Folly Beach. Known as the best place in South Carolina to surf, the Washout or Folly Beach Pier are the spots most visitors head to. There are cameras dotted along the beaches monitoring the waves and conditions so surfers can log in and check the waves before heading out for a day of surfing. For travelers who want to learn, there are surf schools available that will take wannabe board riders out for a day or half a day to learn the basics.

Anglers can also enjoy some of the best fishing in South Carolina at Folly Beach.
