A large part of Green Valley’s history has to do with ranch culture and the generations of frontiersman that inhabited these lands. The Colossal Cave is a desert refuge that is known to have provided shelter for humans for over 1,000 years. For the more city-dwelling traveler, check out the Green Valley Farmer’s Market that’s held every Wednesday. Casa Grande Ruins National Monument is a place to learn about ancient irrigation canals and centuries-old farming techniques.
