Guadalupe is a large, bustling city in Nuevo Leon and part of the greater area of Monterrey. It's a great place to explore all the surrounding historical and cultural attractions of this nearby mountain-surrounded metropolis.
In Guadalupe you can see the monumental Estadio Bbva Bancomer, an incredible stadium and perfect place to watch a soccer game and kick off your visit to Mexico cheering on the local team. After a game, soak up some Mexican culture at MARCO (Museo de Arte Contemporaneo) with great changing exhibitions of modern artists. Next, head to the center of the city at Macroplaza, perfect for people-watching and full of lush gardens and historical monuments and smaller plazas.
Elsewhere, Parque Tolteca will give you your nature fix -- local park in Guadalupe is the perfect place for a relaxing stroll in the middle of all the urban chaos. Additionally, the Cerro de la Silla is a saddle-shaped mountain range in the city, and visitors can hike to the top fairly quickly without too much of a challenge. It's worth the climb for the inspiring views across the cities and surrounding region.
Over in Monterrey, explore museums and cultural sites or check out the Parque Fundidora for some more open park space. The Parque is striking with its wide walkways and steel structures, being the perfect balance of urban life with nature.
Visit during spring and fall for warm sunny days and cool evenings.
