Best known as the home of President Harry Truman and star Ginger Rogers, Independence is a city in Western Missouri. The city is also known as the Queen City of the Trails due to it marking the beginning of three great America trails leading westward,: the Oregon Trail, the Santa Fe Trail and the California Trail.
