Things to Do in Lake Oswego Oregon

The city of Lake Oswego surrounds Oswego Lake, a 420-acre lake for swimming, boating, fishing, and other water activities. The lake is perfect for outdoor recreation particularly during the Summer months when the weather is warmer. There is also the Willamette River not far away. The city is situated between Mount Hood and the expansive beaches of the Pacific, which means you have your choices between some of the best hiking trails and sandy beaches all within two hours of one another.

If you prefer golfing than you're going to want to pay a visit to the Oswego Lake Country Club, a prestigious members-only club. This beautiful course originally built in 1924, and the 1925 historic clubhouse recently underwent a complete remodel in 2017. The Oswego Public Golf Course lays just on the other side of the lake and is an 18-hole par-3 facility with holes ranging from 74–179 yards.

The Lake Oswego Farmers’ Market is open each Saturday (May through October) and has over 80 vendors selling a variety of meats, produce, nuts, cheeses, jams, baked goods, and fresh seafood. There are other annual events throughout the year including the Star Spangled Parade and Celebration for the Fourth of July, and concerts during the Summer months and a Holiday Tree Lighting in December.
