Lakeport is bursting with charm, history, and nature right on the shores of Clear Lake -- known for being one of the oldest and largest natural lakes in California, as well as a haven for bass fishing. The community is home to a beautiful historic downtown, plenty of vineyards and wineries nearby, and the majestic Mt Konocti.

Things to Do in Lakeport

History-lovers will adore the restored downtown of Lakeport, where it's possible to take a walking tour to discover the area's history, as well as visit gems like the Historic Courthouse Museum. This is also the place to learn about Lake County’s indigenous Pomo people and the incredible baskets they wove, which are on display in the museum.

Out on the lake, enjoy activities such as swimming, fishing, and boating or make your way to campsites and trails in Clear Lake State Park. Hike up to extinct volcano Mt Konocti, and see the incredible views and breathe in the amazing fresh air of the region.

After a long day, sample some wines at Kaz winery, one of Nor Cal's smallest and most delicious wineries.
