A vibrant, charming small community close to the Potomac River, Lovettsville holds a famous Okotoberfest every year, and was originally settled by German immigrants back in the 1700s.
Lovetsville is home to wineries and farms, and is a great place to reconnect with nature and brush up on your history. Pay a visit to local vineyards and wineries with Hiddencroft Vineyards and Creek's Edge Winery for great tastings and tours, and after, enjoy an unforgettable meal at Patowmack Farm.
Additionally, visit the Lovettsville Historical Society and Museum for an introduction to the area, as well as to see photographs and artifacts relating to the town's past and its German-settler origins.
Lovettsville is lovely in the summer but the annual Oktoberfest at the end of September is a big draw for many tourists -- complete with a craft fair, games, races and singalongs.
