Deep in Vermont's Lamoille County is the town of Morrisville, which has a bustling downtown, a lively arts scene, and plenty of natural beauty close by at the Green River Reservoir and The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.
Wandering around downtown will reveal Morrisville's historic past, with several commercial buildings built in a style characteristic of Western 19th century railroad towns, making this town somewhat original. Buildings to look for include the River Arts, an attractive art gallery inside a lovely renovated historic building and the Morristown Centennial Library, one of four Carnegie libraries in Vermont. Rock Art Brewery and Green Mountain Distillers should be on top of lists to drop by and sample some organic spirits and handmade beer. After, depending on consumption rates, take a scenic walk along the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. At the Green River Reservoir people can rent kayaks, canoes, or bicycles and camp out under the stars.
Spring and Summer are wonderful but Fall in Vermont is spectacular.
