Traveling to Navarre couldn’t be easier, simply drive along the Navarre Beach Causeway. The town calls visitors from all over the world with its 12 miles of stunning shoreline, offering the perfect backdrop for Navarre vacation rentals. Just a 10-minute drive from Navarre FL, the zoo is very well maintained and despite its smaller size, still has a wide variety of animals including reptiles, big cats, gorillas, hippos, and many others. The Panhandle Butterfly House is also a great day trip for animal-lovers. Native species of Florida butterfly soar in the skies above you as you walk through the open exhibit. You’ll also likely spot some caterpillars hiding amongst the leaves. Navarra Beach’s closest neighbour is the island of Okaloosa, home to the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park. Seeing as much of the park is covered, it is perfect for a rainy day activity. You can watch fun-filled shows by excited dolphins or watch the majestic sea lions lazing on the rocks.

While the town is filled with amusements to entertain visitors, Navarre is also a place where nature should be enjoyed at its finest. Its warm waters beg to be explored by boat or kayak, or there is a scenic drive along the seashore. If hiking is more your thing, head to the Naval Live Oaks Reservation for miles of scenic trails. Nearby towns are also worth exploring, including Fort Walton Beach.
