Raleigh is the capital of the state of North Carolina. This city is known as one of the most important college towns in the state as it's home to important universities, including North Carolina State University, The University of North Carolina, and Duke University. The area known as Raleigh-Durham, which includes Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Durham is called the Research Triangle due to the presence of these institutions.

The city of Raleigh enjoys nice weather during the Spring and Fall, but it has relatively moderate weather all year-round.
