Rockport Travel Guide

Rockport, Maine is a small, historical harbor city situated in the north of the U.S, very close to Canada. It's an excellent getaway town during summer thanks to its cool shores and vibrant marine life, while in the winter it transforms into a wonderland filled with wood log cottages and roaring fires.

Rockport is known for its arts and crafts community and so is popular with musicians and artists looking to explore the museums and galleries dotted around the city. Rockport is also home to the famous Andre the Seal -- a seal who was adopted by a local family -- and the father who later authored the book A Seal Called Andre, which was then adapted into a film. To honour Andre, the city put his statue along the harbor front visitors to enjoy.
