Start with a meander down the South Bethany Boardwalk, running along half a mile above the beach. The beach itself has white sand, is backed by dunes and boasts clear waters perfect for swimming. Summer has the best beach atmosphere complete with fun 4th July celebrations, a Seafood and Art Festival, and a carnival. Off-season is perhaps better for kayaking as there are fewer crowds at the beach.
