West Covina is located in California and is a suburb of Los Angeles. It is about 20 miles east of downtown. West Covina has a number of odd claims to fame including being the principle filming location for 90s classic Good Burger and is also the birthplace of NFL Hall of Famer Troy Aikman.
You are definitely going to want to check out the Galster Wilderness Park, it’s a must see and a good place for a hike that isn't too strenuous. Bowling at the Brunswick West Covina Lanes is also a great option for some wholesome fun, or visitors can go shopping at Lakes Mall. Perhaps the most necessary thing to do though is have a bite to eat at the original In-n-Out Burger. In-n-Out, since its founding in 1948, has become a staple of California cuisine. It is delicious, but careful calling it anything other than excellent, Californians are very proud of the favorite burger.
The area around Walnut Valley is nice area of West Covina to stay in.
Since West Covina is significantly east of Los Angeles and protected by hills from any sea breezes, summers can get very hot. Our favorite time to visit is in fall when the weather is still warm and the tourist traffic around LA has slowed down.
There are some mouthwatering spots for foodies to sample when visiting West Covina. Vincenzo's Terrazza which is known for having some of the best Italian food in the area. It is not unusual to see the place packed with locals. If you prefer family-friendly food, then you’re going to want also to check out Lazy Dog Restaurant, which is a local favorite in West Covina. And of course don't forget In-n-Out.
