Top of the list has to be a visit to Horseneck Beach, a long beautiful stretch of sand perfect for long breezy walks and spotting different sea birds along the way. Insiders say a trip here is like being on the Cape without going to the Cape. Westport Rivers Vineyard is a wonderful local winery where you can join various tours, take a hayride, and of course taste their delicious wine. They organize coastal wine trails too, allowing you to visit neighboring Vineyards for a great day out. If beer is more your taste than check out Westport’s Buzzards Brewery, which is a beautiful location to try handcrafted brews.
Day hikes are plentiful with nature on your doorstep, plus the more adventurous could hire a kayak and explore the Westport River. Check out the South Coast Artists, a community of artists dedicated to making art more accessible, with galleries and open viewings of their work.
