AllTheRooms is a meta-search engine, which means we combine search results for listings from traditional hotels (like Expedia) and put them next to sharing economy listings (like Airbnb or Couchsurfing) and more. What does that mean for you? We’re a one-stop shop for all your accommodation booking needs.
On top of that, we have a huge amount of data. So much, in fact, that it’s hard for us to wrap our head around — our site can find data on any given listing, current booking and cost, comparing that to any other site it may be listed on. We’ve been digging deep into our data to identify some trends, and this week, we wanted to share some interesting finds on Airbnb.
So, how much money will the 326 Fort Lauderdale Airbnb unit owners make this month? You would be surprised. The average Fort Lauderdale Airbnber will rake in over $2,338 next month. This is more than double Portland’s Airbnber’s who will bring in $897 and Denver’s who will generate a modest $861.
What are the most expensive Aribnb cities to visit? San Jose and Clearwarter are neck-and-neck in second place for $279 per night.
Which is the easiest city to get an Airbnb room? Cincinnati and Philadelphia have one of the countries lowest Airbnb occupancy rates at 8.3% and 2.8% respectively.
So why does the city of brother love have the lowest Airbnb occupancy rates in the nation? Well, you can blame that on the ex officio Bishop of Rome, and Sovereign of the Vatican City whose recent visit to Philadelphia in September resulted in a surge of one-time Airbnb hosts and patrons. We love the Pope, but when he left, so did most of his fans.
