It’s great, American and there’s a lot of beer. The GABF is pretty self-explanatory and for American beer-lovers, it’s a must-attend event. With over 700 participating breweries and gold, silver and bronze medals given out in over 90 beer categories, there’s something for everyone. But don’t think it’s an event just for those looking to down some beers. For participants, brewing is a science and thus nothing to joke around with. Founded by nuclear engineer Charlie Papazian in 1982, the GABF is now the largest ticketed beer festival in the United States.
