The Space

A stylish, modern 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment situated in a very quiet building in Parliament Place West Perth, overlooking the parks and gardens adjacent to Parliament House. Strict 3 night minimum stay required. The apartment has 2 master bedrooms, both with queen beds and their own bathrooms. All linen is supplied and if you would like the apartment serviced during your stay (cleaned and linen changed), there is an additional fee of $100 per service. If it is just a quick tidy up and beds made, it would be $40 per hour. The apartment has a front load washing machine and dryer. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, large dining area and relaxing lounge area leading onto a balcony complete with outdoor dining and bbq – the perfect place to start and finish your day with a lovely view of the gardens and historic buildings of the area. The suburb of West Perth sits between the popular shopping and dining precinct of Subiaco and Perth city and is only a few minutes walk across the Parliament House garden surrounds to beautiful Kings Park. It is also only a short drive (or comfortable walk) to Patterson Stadium (formerly Subiaco Oval) and 5km to delightful Matilda Bay and the University of Western Australia. Plus the Perth Convention Centre, the new Perth Arena complex, the Perth Theatre Centre, His Majesty’s Theatre, the Perth Museum and the Art Gallery of Western Australia are all just a short distance away. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and has secure undercover parking under the building. There is also a roof top lap pool and outdoor lounging area with impressive views over the Parliament buildings to the Swan River and the city. We are also located centrally and close to 5 major hospitals – St John of God, King Edward Memorial, Princess Margaret Children’s Hospital, Sir Charles Gardiner and Royal Perth. Parliament Place is a very pleasant alternative to the hotel lifestyle. Strictly non smoking and sorry but no parties or noisy gatherings.

The Neighborhood

Without fail, the best part about West Perth and the Subiaco area which you are very close to, is the close proximity to all the services you could want or need. You will be nestled in amongst historic residential homes, large and small, fancy and quaint, strong and remodelled or slightly worn and a bit crooked, plus the commercial sector of West Perth which closes down after 5pm and on weekends leaving you with a beautiful quiet, peaceful, leafy environment - the area abounds in character. Full of restaurants, cafes, shops, parks and friendly locals, you will love your stay in the apartment, whether for business or holiday.

Getting Around

The apartment is very close to the free city transit bus service which runs every 10-15 minutes. This service does a circuit around and through the CBD and through West Perth, and then down to the boundary of Subiaco. It is also only about a 5 minute walk down into the city - walking back again is uphill so take this into consideration. It is very easy to jump on a free bus. There is also the train line which runs from Perth to Fremantle, our historic port city half an hour away, and also from Perth up to the hills area of Armadale. There is also a north-south line which can take you north to Joondalup, and slightly further, or south to Mandurah. Obviously trains stop at all stops along the way. Best way to plan these trips is to go online and do a search of the Perth transport system. Taxis are also an option for your travel requirements.

Other Things to Note

Wifi is included but please no downloading of large files such as TV programs and movies, or games. This is illegal. We also have portable baby cots for a one off hire fee of $30 for the cot and linen.

A FEW IMPORTANT HOUSEHOLD THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW … CLEANING & YOUR SECURITY BOND: Please leave our house in a clean and tidy condition with all dishes washed and returned to their correct places. An extra cleaning charge will be deducted from your bond if the property is left in an overly dirty or untidy state, or if ovens, cook tops and bbqs are left in a dirty and grimy state, or linen or towels are badly stained (fake tan, makeup and hair dye being the worst culprits). We will endeavour to provide photographic evidence in such cases. No security bond will be withheld unless we have entered into, or attempted to enter into discussions with you first. The bond will only be withheld in cases of damage, theft or extra cleaning if required. COOKING: Please no cooking of strong smelling foods such as curries or seafood in the houses. It is very difficult to remove these strong food odours and we like to keep our houses smelling nice and fresh for following guests. NOISE: Sorry but we have a strict no party policy. Large or noisy gatherings will not be tolerated in our peaceful residential neighbourhoods. RUBBISH: Please place all household rubbish in bin bags (kept in the kitchen) and place in large council bins located on the ground level. Try to recycle where possible. WE ARE STRICTLY NON SMOKING DISCLAIMER: Our houses and apartments are rented and occupied at the sole risk of the tenant.
